A quick peak at what I bought

This is a quick peak of the books I got from book fair.  I've also included the AR info.  There were a few other books I got, but I've lent them out to teachers, I will post them when I get them.  Also, aren't you so impressed with my photo collage.  I can't wait to start using these more!  :)

Book fair roundup

Well I wrapped up the book fair on Friday. Thank you everyone who came and purchased anything from the fair. I use the money to buy books for book clubs. Let me rewind. I have book clubs for middle school students. We meet once a month in the library during lunch and discuss a book. I buy the books for the students and they get to keep them after we have discussed them. It's a lot of fun and I always love to see kids discussing books. So the money from the book fair is used to buy books for these clubs. Occasionally I do ask students to buy books if we pick a book I can't get from scholastic. And kids are pretty happy to do so. It is a really fun activity and I can't wait to get this year going. Last year I picked a collection of books that came from scholastic and we would pick one of those each month and read it. I am leaning towards doing the same thing this year because then I don't have to worry about ordering every month and it buys me some more time to find new books. So again, thank you for helping make the book fair a success!

Tomorrow: a look at new books in the library from the book fair
